Franklin, TN 2016
Ever since first photographing this spot in 2015, I’ve returned whenever the light or season hinted at something new. After a fresh snowfall, I drove out again, hoping for another quiet moment. That’s when I saw the lone cow beneath the trees—still, distant, and utterly at home in the hush. The cold had stripped the world of color and sound, leaving only form and shadow. Time seemed to pause, and I wanted to hold on to that stillness.
